Private pictures and videos of Wisconsin volleyball players have been leaked. The pictures surfaced online, prompting an investigation from school police.
Some of the pictures were taken in the locker room, according to one report. The Badgers players are not being investigated over the leaked photographs. Some of the women are reportedly lifting their sports bras in one of the photos.
University of Wisconsin police are investigating how private photos and video of members of the school’s national champion women’s volleyball team were circulated publicly without their consent.
STATEMENT From UW Athletics:
“Our top priority is supporting our student-athletes, and we are providing them with the appropriate services and resources,” Wisconsin’s athletic department said.
The statement didn’t indicate when or where the photos or video were taken, although photos later surfaced online which appeared to show the players flashing their breasts after clinching the Big Ten championship last season.
There are further photos and a video clip online, and the specific players involved have not been identified.
