Recently, a tragedic accident happened at the Melbourne royal show.

Shylah Rodden, a 26-year old female from Australia was struck by a rollercoaster ride. According to police report, Shylah might have been trying to pick up her phone from the rollercoaster track when she misjudged the timing and speed of the incoming fast ride.

Upon the impact, Shylah Rodden was sent flying 9m into the air before she fell down. She sustained very serious injuries and was immediately taken to hopsital.

Rollercoaster Deemed Safe after Inspection:

Ride has been deemed safe to re-open however by the show organizers.

“Following the tragic accident at the Rebel Coaster ride on Sunday afternoon at the Melbourne Royal Show, WorkSafe has finalised an inspection report advising that the ride is safe and may be re-opened from today, Tuesday 27 September,” the official report read.

“The safety and well-being of our visitors to the Show continues to be our number one priority.”

“Strict safety protocols are upheld in line with Victorian WorkSafe regulations. All rides on site have undergone stringent compliance inspections and have passed all the required safety documentation.” it further added.

However the victim’s family didn’t take this step from the organizers too kindly saying they are “appalled” that it’s open once again.

Shylah Rodden’s Current Condition:

The 26-year old lady was reportedly in pretty bad condition at the hospital as she suffered from very bad and serious injuries. She was admitted in the ICU.

However, since past couple hours there is a other rumour circulating on social media that Shylah Rodden has lost the battle with her wounds and has passed away in the rollercoaster accident.
