Streaming platforms like Twitch and Discord are lifeline websites specially for gamers who widely use them for streaming their live gameplays and videos and show their content to the people. However, Twitch wasn’t an entertainment site when a horrific incident occurred in Buffalo.
We’re talking about a horrendous incident which took place in Buffalo which involved an 18-year white youngster opening fire with his riffle and people in a store. His victims were eleven black and two white people.
The incident occurred which is said to be a racially inspired extremists in a store where people were shopping just like a normal day. Their day was turned upside down when an 18-year old white supremacist shot two people at the gate before proceeding to enter the store. After entering the store he shot his remaining victims too.
The whole gruesome incident was streamed live on Twitch by the cold blooded killed. Twitch took down the streaming inside two minutes since it begin, but the two minutes contained enough violence to make any normal human being shocked and saddened.
Later to culprit was arrested and presented before the judge. “It is my sincere hope that this individual, this white supremacist who just perpetrated a hate crime on an innocent community, will spend the rest of his days behind bars. And heaven help him in the next world as well,” said Gov. Kathy Hochul, near the crime scene.
The west specially the US hasn’t faced a racial violence for the first time. The culprit is said to be inspired by the Christchurch shooter in New Zealand who live streamed his shooting in two mosques.
It’s a point where the west needs to start thinking about what’s going wrong in their community? What’s making the young minds indulging in hate crimes? Is it the society they’re grooming in or something else? What puts so much hate in their brains? Is it the media or the books they read?
Erie County Sheriff John Garcia said, “This was pure evil. It was (a) straight up racially motivated hate crime from somebody outside of our community, outside of the City of Good Neighbors … coming into our community and trying to inflict that evil upon us,”
